Default Plate install

Has anyone else tried the Nitrous outlet plate on their C5 besides B99. Test show it to be a little stonger than a single nozzle, but wondered if it was enough to make it worth the PITA factor of the install

Yep I installed one a couple days ago.

The only hard part was putting the spacers in the P/S Reservoir.
Also I used the NOS plate instructions since Dave's did not come with one.

Still in the install phase. Need to get the plumbing sorted, and well as everything wired.

I also shot video of bench flowing the plate.

im leaning towards the plate over the nozzle too. i dont see whats so hard about the install ive had my TB off and on like 3 times already and it only takes 15 minutes to get it off... in fact the real pita is pulling off the coolant hose i hate that damn thing.

the tnt kit did cross my mind too and my friends got it on his 02 z28... plus i think tnt rates thier kits to the wheels but thats only jets away if you go with another kit. does the plate flow more/better than 2 nozzles? single nozzle < plate < 2 nozzle ring? or single < 2 nozzle ring < plate anyone know?

The issue with the install is not the TB, but the power steering reservoir has to be removed and "shimmed out".
There was a great post on LS1tech from a guy that did back to back testing on a single nozzle and plate and saw about 20hp/20tq difference with the same jets.
Some even claim a N/A difference, although I'm now sure why.

I would think more laminar flow or a velocity stack type effect.

The added HP in the n/a power is from the added plenum volume.
Watch for the Nitrous Direct/Cold Fusion dual stage plate kit for the ls1/ls6 coming out shortly (can be 1 stage or 2 stage, later). Here is a pic of the C6 ls2/90mm plate kit for an idea of what it will be. It will be a value $$ wise and #1 quality all the way. Also, we are a supporting vendor/sponsor.
