just bought sts set up . withe 42# injectors with 6# boost 918 springs and bbk air bridge. car is a4 have tranny cooler already with aluminun radiator. the car now as it sits make 344 rwhp. is there somthing else i need for a safe reliable street car?. all i can say is i can not wait to see results. i have ls1 edit i understand tunning might be a issue. i hope not. i am not looking for the fastes car on the street but somthing that will preform well with reliabilty. can not wait should be about 2 weeks before all said and done . i guess i just moved 2 the darkside
I have a 2000 as well, if i'm going to be running 7-8lbs on my supercharger with 42lb injectors is just a lingenfelter or ractronics fuel pump enough? I'd rather not mess with a BAP if I dont have to.
Fuel pump, valve springs, pcv setup, and driveline are the general basics.
Good luck with the setup.
Mark
I definetely agree with Mark on this. Make sure you upgrade the fuel pump to go along with your injectors. Since you do want a safe and reliable set-up, I don't think you'd want to look for anything more then around 500-550RWHP(max), and I think you'll be good with a fuel pump upgrade and the injectors.
I am also installing an oil catch can set-up in the PCV system, so I would also suggest one for you. Do a search here on the forum, you fill find alot of info on it.
Don't forget gauges. Some say they are not needed, but I think they are definetely good to have. I got the Nexus gauges that have the face that turns red if you go past a preset limit to give you an instant warning if something is going wrong.

Congrats on the purchase. I would recommend a professional tune in addition to the professional installation. Oil catch can is a good idea. People buy them from some supporting vendors or from ebay. I got mine from Synergy (Rick H). I would also strongly recommend fuel pressure guage, and lastly at some point a beefed up clutch. My stock zo6 clutch is beginning to stick. Good luck.
Some people say you should buy the $160 AMW catch can, but to me there is no proof that it is better then the eBay catch cans, and I can't justify spending that much money on it. I bought mine off eBay for $25. I then bought some PCV breather filter media (looks like a white scotch-brite scrubbing pad) from Pep-Boys and put it in the can to help draw the oil vapor/mist out of the air.
I have all the components for my catchcan/PCV system ready to install. I will be doing it this weekend. I will take some pictures.
Im doing the same exact thing..GT32s, .6 spring but bought a 2001 because of the better PCV system. Im told fuel system is good on 02s and older...guess I will find out
