As promised, pictures of the 'El cheapo' catch can from that auction site... As pictured, it looks nice enough. I intended to put some steel wool in the can to help catch the oil vapors, but the only way to do it would be to push it in through the bottom oil drain plug. In fact, that's how I'm going to do it . It's not as easy as taking the can completely apart, but it should work.

It's actually an '06 750... not the 1000. I've had it just shy of a month and I ride it every chance I can. Funny thing... there's a TON of room for a small hair dryer . Winter project for sure... if nothing else, it'll only be a few hundred to mock it with mild steel. If I like the way it turns out... who knows...
