Default NOS kit conversion

I recently bought a 2000 and want to add nitrous to it. I have searched through the Forum and answered most of my questions.

I have a NOS kit from my 87. Can I just buy the parts to convert it to the LS1 or would I be better off just buying a new kit? (I want to use a plate)

my opinion is a little biases, but i say sell the stuff you have as acomplete kit, and buy one designed for your car. the r and d has already been done for you.

i have a brand new nos brand kit that uses the throttlebody plate on the c5 corvette. it has never been used and is still sealed in plastic. the pills allow it to be adjusted from 75 hp to 150hp, and it can be upgraded to 250 hp b/c of the oversized solinoids. let me know if you are interested. -jay

i'm no expert, but i would think the solenoids would be the same, the lines would be the same, and the jets (while INTERCHANGEABLE) should be the same too - so the only thing you should need is the plate!

i say save yourself the money and research what parts come in what kit - then if the only difference is the plate - BUY IT!

i'm sure if you contact HOLLEY, they will tell you the exact part numbers that are in BOTH kits, then you can compare notes and make a better informed decision!
