Default P1SC pulley size ?

Well guys, as some of you know, I've had a hard time getting a head unit. After two seperate deals fell through on head units, I finally have a P1SC sitting on my workbench.

I ended up buying a used mustang GT kit just for the head unit I paid $1900 for the kit, by the time I sell the Bracket, intercooler, injectors, MAF and BOV I"ll come out with a pretty good deal on the head unit

Anyway here is my dilema. When I thought I had a D1sc on the way I ordered a 4.5 pulley, and the head unit came with a 3.1 ( ) on it. I"m looking for about 8# of boost out of it and I think the 4.5 is going to be too big, especially with my mods What size pulley should I get for my goals ?

Noteworthy Mods:

cam 221/221 575/575 112
LT headers
Borla stingers and high flow cats
Going to have 3" intercooler piping and a huge 32x12x3 FMIC

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I am sure others will chime in, but I think the head unit you purchased is not the correct rotation? (i believe it has to be reversed)

I think you are looking for a 4.1" pulley, i have a 3.85 on mine and it will hit 9-10#'s at 6000 in the winter, about 7-8 in the summer. But you may want to take it up to 6500.

The head unit I bought IS reversed. That was what made it so hard to track one down. There are tons of them out there with normal rotation.

Here in florida its summer 10 months of the year, so maybe a 3.85 is what I'm after

You may want to check further because When i was looking for my head unit I almost bought a Mustang version because it is reverse rotation. Forum members instructed me that there are differences between the Corvette and Mustang reverse rotation, if i remeber it had sometime to do with the position of the internal gearing. I never found 100% soild proof either way, because i ended up with a Vette Head unit anyway, but you may want to look into it.

Just got off the phone with ATI. There are no differences in the drive ratio, or gear position between kits. The different ratios are different head units i.e. P1sc, D1sc, F1 ect. He assured me that as long as its the correct rotation, all I have to do is clock it and put on my pulley
BTW he also recommended a 4.0 pulley for 8# of boost for my car after he had me explain my mods. Very helpful

A 5" pulley is what I am going to go with, it will put out between 6.5 and 7 psi at its peak on a D-1. A 4.75" 7.5 - 8psi, a 4.5" 8.5 - 9 psi, a 4.38" is 10psi.

On a P1SC a 4.10 pulley is what Andy supplies for a regular Vette-for a Z06 they come with a 4.25-because of the added compression. I would say 4.10 is what you want. If it's a reverse rotation from a Stang, like from a mod motor you should be good.

I think you need a 4.1 pulley to be around 8Lbs. Are you planning on keeping that cam. If I was you I would get a different cam, I recommend a 115

Next size smaller pulley is a 3.70 and I would bet you will at 1 1/2 to 2 lbs of extra boost. I run a 3.85 on my DS1C and I see 14 lbs at 6200
