I am going to be installing a centrifugal supercharger soon. I have noticed that most people with superchargers have two gauges on the driver’s side windshield post. Which two gauges are the most important to have and why?
I have boost and FP in my pod. The gauges are good for tuning, but as far as trying to look at them while your driving hard... forgetaboutit. It will be all you can do to keep it between the lines and glance at the tack B4 you smack the rev limiter on each shift. What kind of suprchgr?
It looks like I'm going with a Procharger with duel intercoolers. I think I will be getting the "stage 2" version. It is my understanding that I can get my desired power level with this one and having the supercharger turning at a slower speed then the "stage 1". It may sound funny, but I am looking for a fairly reliable system, rather then making as much power as I can. This is my daily driver. So, are you saying that the gauges are not that necessary since you can really see them when you are WOT?
I would give ECS a call If I were you! You will be sure to have an excellentpackage, very reliable and which will give you the power you need. Moreover you will be sure to get a top notch service. Their kit is very well engineered and the paxton hits harder and sooner thatn the Procharger from what I read on thr forum from people who have had both.
Good luck and keep us posted on your choice

The ECS Paxton simply works very well, and has a lot of reserve if you ever want to go higher on power. Mine's on my daily driver, and has been fine in all conditions, pouring rain, even at 20 degrees.
Lv Vette, I would install the guages, they may help you determine a problem if it ever comes up and its a small investment considering the big picture on a FI project. As others have stated, look at the ECS paxton or the A&A vortech for your FI needs. I think you will be happier with one of their systems and you will receive better customer service in the long run. It took me over a year to decide which system to go with. Take your time, and don't be in a rush to slap something on your car. There are a lot of options on the market for our vettes, just do your research.

Thanks for the recomendations guys!
All though most people cannot watch the gauges while in full boost, they are helpfull for making sure you are not over boosting a stock engine in very cold weather, or keeping an eye on fuel pressures in extreme heat etc etc. Plus they are helpful to us while tuning, and if it helps us....it helps you. (and they look neat )
