Default Another Meth injection question

Okm, I'm running the procharger kit with the factory duel intercoolers. I do notice on hot days the boost will not come up to 5-6 psi but will get maybe 4psi. Now on a cool night it'll hit 5-6 psi.

If I have the ECS Meth kit installed will it counter heat soak and allow the charger to go ahead and make the boost it is supposed to make even on the warmer days? Is there any performance advantage at all or is the advantage only that I don't have to run the 93 octane and that it is a safety guard against detonation?

I plan on changing the pully from a 4.25 to a 4 inch this summer and had thought that would be a good time to get the meth kit installed.

Thoughts and Opinions please from you guys who are in the know.

Thanks!

Its not heatsoak your dealing with. Its just heat in general. When its cooler, you will always get a little better charge.
Also, the ATI kit is very inefficient. It is more prone to hotter tempratures due to their twin I/C design. You can either just live with it, or get ahold of one of the vendors here that sell a Single front mount I/C. You will notice a DRAMATIC difference.

With the ECS alky kit wil will notice a few things. Lower IAT's, Less chance of detonation, and more power.

If it's 4 psi in the day and then 5-6psi in the evening, it could be due to thinner air because of heat. If you have a OBD11 scanner you can check inlet temps and compare daytime to evening. If your intercoolers aren't doing the job, you can upgrade to a larger dual intercooler from ATI. They have one for the dual setup that is 4.5" instead of 3.5". Or you can put fans on your present duals.
Meth cleans combustion chambers and intake tracts, cools intake charge temps, reduces the chance of detonation and adds a little hp just because its alcohol.

Meth isn't recommended at boost levels below 4. It won't do much from 4-6 psi. But it does more from 4-9 psi.

Yeah, what he said!

On a warmer day the air is less dense so boost will always be slightly down. The alky will help keep the IAT's down so ignition timing is not pulled. Thus retaining the power the car made on the dyno all the time.
