Well I think the install is pretty straightforward. Mike at Rapid did the 918s first. Then we did the wiring...straightforward but some tough manuvering...takes 2 or so hours..broke in the oil pump...pcv hookup..1/2 hour..went to the rear...air cleaners piece of cake.
Then we realized we were missing the hardware kit...one of those hiccups...called Brandon and Nyc at STS...they are overnighting the nuts/bolts so we can get rolling tomorrow...oil pump and then the turbos/piping. So far so good. Dyno Friday if we get everything done tomorrow.
Congrats on getting the system. Honestly I think the most time consuming part will be putting in the rocker panel piping, unless you have a z06. Anyway, good luck to you. I look forward to your dyno results.
Oh boy, I do not envy you (or any other STS installer) when it comes to those rocker panel tubes. If you don't already have Z06 brake ducts it might be a worthwhile extra mod to do now
I recently had to run some braided stainless hose through the rocker panels and it was a PITA to get the grinder at the right angles to remove all the extra epoxy and metal tabs preventing them from going straight through the rockers. I could only imagine without the Z06 brake ducts that job would have been hell.
