Default Vortech pulley question

I have a standard Vortech SQ setup on my Z06. It makes ~6psi boost with the 34 tooth pulley on the supercharger. I have a T trim that I bought from a member on here.

Does anyone have any insight on the pulley size to make 10-12psi on a stock motor (keep in mind I'm making 6psi with a 34 tooth on the SQ). Will this swap require a jackshaft pulley change?

I'm hoping to do some LS6 durability testing (with methanol) this summer

Thanks!

I have a T1 unit making 12 to 13 lbs and I use a 3.40 pulley. I also have a 3.33 Vortec pulley for sale if you want it. $60 plus shipping.

WTF is a 3.40?

It looks like you have an A&A Vortech kit, right? I have the Vortech Vortech kit The pullies on the Vortech kit are cogged.

Pulleys from Andy are V-Grooved and measured the way I posted. Looking at the way the stock pulleys are ribbed I can understand why Andy changes them out.

You should be close to 10-12 psi with the 34 tooth pulley. If you want to make more , they also have 30 tooth and 28 tooth supercharger pulleys.

I know this is an old post, but thanks for the response. I have 28, 30, 32 and 34 right now. I'll try the 34 first.

I agree that you should already be seeing 10 lbs. Are you sure your impeller is ok and bearings not worn? I was seeing 4-6 lbs boost on my VSQ II (mounted on my gmc) so I went to a 3.12 (ribbed) and got the boost up, but only to find out my impeller was worn. Vortech rebuilt it, and WHAM, now I was up 12-14 lbs. I put the stock pully back on and was 6-8 lbs.

The standard kit I have is designed to make around 6-7psi with the 34 tooth pulley. I'm upgrading to the T-trim from the SQ. Vortech was no help in telling me how to get to 10-12psi with the T-trim with all other parts remaining the same.

I am almost ready to test out the T-trim, I'll report back what I see with the 34 and if I have to go smaller on the T-trim to get my desired boost.

I already have ~550rwhp @ 6psi on the SQ with just a set of long tubes. I'm hoping to make around 600-620rwhp with the extra boost/T-trim and meth on my stock 03
