Default motor question.

I already posted this in the TECH forum but here it goes again. I have a 99 convertable and found a turn key LT1 with twin turbos for sell. Now the quesion is will any 350 fit in a 99 or does it need to be a LS1. Will I need to change the bell housing on the trans or will everything bolt up. Thanks. -Nick

The LT1 has a different way of making A/F ratios. You would probably need the computer and fuel system as it operates on less fuel pressure than the LS1.

engine mounts are different and theres now way to know for sure the turbos will fit in the C5 engine bay. You would have to make custom engine mounts and change all the wiring and computers. Not worth it. It will be cheaper and more reliable to just build your LS1 motor up with twin turbos...

Man you would be putting FAR inferior technology into your C5.

There are leaps and bounds that have been made with the LSx engines.

That would be crazy, whatever the cost is IMO.
