Default question about twin disk mcleod

I've got a twin disk mcleod w/the mcleod adjustable master. Anyways, it's been on there for about 6000miles and it's always had something kind of weird w/it. Its never really bothered me so I didn't worry about it, but its getting to the point of bugging me, and I was wondering if anyone else had this issue. When you push the clutch pedal all the way down and then release it, the pedal comes back up but not quite all the way. There's like an inch of dead movement at the top of the clutch travel. To get the clutch to come all the way up, you have to release the pedal completely and can't slip it at all. If you slip the clutch, then it won't quite come all the way back up. It's starting to get annoying, and I didn't know if there was something I could do about it or not. It's the iron disk version, so it may be something I have to live with. Which if so, that's ok, because the clutch is great for racing. But anyways, any input would be great and hopefully I've made sense in trying to say what's going on. Thanks--Andy

I spoke with jcsblownc5 sometime back about the McLeod twin clutch that he runs. Apparently you should use a clutch stop on the pedal so that it does not travel as far.

You might want to drop him a PM to get more info on it.

This is true, I have a custom clutch pedal stop. I adust it to stop the pedal just beyond the point of engagement. The Mcloed does engage high, and if you push it too far, it goes beyond ceter and can hang up. Mine works great!!!
