Yup, Mark wins the prize! And Jay... good eyes, yes that is an ECS crate. Were you able to tell based on the extra piece of wood that's screwed in to the side?

She's just a little ol' 346. I'll go for bigger cubes if I ever decide to go auto, anything around 700rwhp will be enough for me on this first go-round and that should be doable with a TTiX, forged 346, heads, and a turbo cam.

Another crate was waiting on the doorstep when I got home

Neat flywheel weight reduction.

I was able to tell it's the way Chris puts his crates together as his signature trademark!

Nice Textralia dual disk BTW.

Haha, yeah I found the extra piece of wood made a great handle I could use to drag the crate onto the lift table to get it off the truck!

The Textralia piece is real beefy. The whole assembly is around 40lbs. Can't wait to get it bolted up.

In the meantime a couple more boxes showed up today...

Still no turbos yet though

Sweet! Nick at Turbo Tech just told me that my turbos have finally arrived at their shop from Turbonetics! They should be on my doorstep by this weekend... and then the reassembly begins...

Slow progress. Getting my turbine housings ceramic coated to help keep heat inside the turbos and away from starters/oil pans/wiring.

Got some misc. parts on the motor cleaned up and installed -- front/rear seals, oil plugs, lifters, lifter trays, etc. Expecting to get the motor back on the cradle this weekend. Heads are at a local machine shop for inspection, resurfacing, checking vacuum, installing Comp 921 valve springs/seals/retainers.

Overall the project is taking longer than anticipated (don't they all?) but I am not getting very much time on weeknights to work on it.

Looking purdy. How hard are you going to push that 346?

Thanks... On the break in I am aiming for around 650rwhp. After that I'd like to add another 100-150 to the mix. Will likely need a few tweaks like larger studs and more boost friendly heads to get there.

Hey diynoob, congrats... By the way, I live in Ft. Myers off College and I think you might have just became my new best friend with that lift. Hope to see you around.

Haha, thanks guys.

ls1mtz: we'll have to setup a mod party at my place some day... there are more and more locals showing up on CorvetteForum, so it should make for a fun day.

Oil pan and harmonic balancer go on tomorrow. Pan is already drilled and tapped, just need to get a new tube of sealant to button her up with. Need to do some little tweaks on clocking the turbos at the right angle, and then the motor goes back on the cradle.

noob,

Make sure you install the oil lines before putting it up.
You can install the drivers downpipe too and the passenger side if you pulled the starter wiring from the car.

Making some progress and ensuring that everything is lined up, tucked in, clamped down, and straightened up just right.

I have decided to run my oil cooler hoses between the turbo and exhaust manifold. There is more heat there but with heat sleeve and with all the oil moving through the hoses, hose longevity and ambient heat on the hoses should be a non-issue.

I also aligned the clutch using a plastic alignment tool from Auto Zone. Pray for me when I go to put this all back in the car

Looking good. If I were you, I would try to get a 26 spline input shaft from someone or use your torque tube to align the clutches before trying to re-install engine.
