My install is 3 months old (A&A procharger bracket 3 idlers) and yesterday I noticed some boost loss and fuel loading(I think its fuel loading). If I go slowly into the boost I'm okay but if I floor it I get what I thinks is fuel loading and the car sounds like its miss firing (no codes pop up). I notice a big cloud of black smoke after it clears up(back off on the pedal). I know that new belts do stretch after awhile.
I'm going to use a pry bar tonight on the alternator to tighten it up some to see if it takes care of my problem....Does A&A or ECS sell a adjustable alternator bracket to keep the belt tight and if they do how much is it?
Hi Ron-what size is your belt? For a 4.10 pulley you can fit a 88.8 belt and even a 88.2 in some cases. you have to take the alternater pulley of though. I ran the 4.0 pulley with a 88.2 belt all summer and had no issues-you just have to make sure the belt is tight-and when i mean tight-I mean tight-it takes alot of umph to get it on. Also are you using a Gates belt?

Hi Arun....
The belt that I'm using is a K060895...Gates {Carquest]...I just looked at the belt and it seems fine for wear and tear but it has some belt deflection between the alternator and the water pump. By the way your telling me there shouldn't be any deflection.
Ron, get a gates/napa K060888 and put that on. You will have to take off the alternater pulley to fit it on. Put it on all the brackets pulleys, leave the blower bracket loose and take a long philips screw driver with the alternater pulley on it and the other end in the alternater and pry the pulley over and on the alternater. It helps to remove the top alternater bolt too and then wedge a piece of wood between the alternater and frame and force the alternator into the bracket. It's a real pain but it will work and it won't slip. After you've done it a few times you'll get the hang of it.
The k060895 is the correct belt for a 4.10 pulley.
This link will definitely tighten it up especially after it warms up. I run the same pulley and Andy's newest bracket and I have zero slip.
