Best tires for stock 01'..17/18" rims????? For street and strip....
First.... I have everyday rims and tires for looks...I am looking for the best set up for the street and strip for performance.... I still have my stock 01" 17/18" rims and I would like to use them.... will that be ok? if so what is the best tire set up for them rims, (sizes, and brands)??? Remember they are not my everyday tires....They will just be for performance and fun only!!!
If my stock rims are not going to be good please list my options....
Thanks,
Tom

I used to have a set of drag radials on my factory rims which performed OK on the street (much better than stock tires!) But I understand at the track DRs can cause more breakage than the extra traction is worth. A lot of people seem to like ET streets on a CCW drag pack setup. The ET streets seem to be forgiving on the drive line due to their flex, and the grip they provide is forgiving on your time slip
