I am having a new Procharger stage II system installed on my stock 99 6 spd coupe. My question concerns gauges. I would like to install a boost and fuel pressure gauges in a dual gauge pod. I really like the look of digital vs analog gauges. I have heard that they don’t work as well as the analog ones. Is there any truth to this and if so, how bad are the digital ones. Also if the digital ones are acceptable, which ones and where do I get them?
I'll be honest with you.
I have the Autometer "Cobalt" analog guages, and although they look good Its really hard to tell where your at while your on the throttle. If I had it to do over again I would probably go digital.
As a matter of fact, heres what I would do.
In a dual guage holder I would use one pod for a SPAL guage Boost/Fuel Pressure. And the other pod for Air/Fuel ratio.
This way you get 3 guages in 2 locations.
Heck, If you wait a couple of weeks I would probably sell you my guages..

IMO the analog look very good & match the style of the dash gauges, but I have my car at MTI getting the same setup Jeff described. In addition I am installing a gauge called "Interceptor" behind the ash tray cover along with my new ECS alky controller. The "Interceptor" plugs into the OBDII port & can display a multitude of data such as IAT, knock retard, etc...

Can you give us more information on the "Interceptor"? A link would be great. Since it plugs into OBDII port, it should be a pretty easy install once a custom ash tray plate is made. I just love gagets like these.

Here's the link. You can also see these on FLP's website. That is where I purchased mine. I love the gadgets too
I have my two digital guages mounted on the pillar with some old school single guage pods. I like the way they look for the most part, but sometimes I hit them with my left hand making turns. I want to move them off the pillar into a dual guage single unit.
My perfered choice was like someone here had designed. A great set up with two guages mounted into the ash tray cover. I thought that was pretty cool if I can only find the pictures again. My next choice was a carbon fiber looking pod for two from Summit mounted somewhere out of the way.
