Default Next driveline setup...

We've got everything arranged for install next week. Here's our last shot on getting this to work:
Ram Clutch
Fidanza Flywheel
RPM Level 5 tranny with 9310-300m Hardened main shaft
DTE Strut brace
PSM 3.90s with dual hardened output shafts and new clutch packs

I see your switching the main shaft also. At what power level should this be swapped out. I understand it all depends on what your doing with the car, but I'm asking for cars that will never see 5 or 6k dump at the track. Thanks

Phil I think the aluminum flywheel will go a long way in preventing anymore breakage. Interested to see the results.

What about the L & R billet covers from yank? I think the total price is about 550 bucks.

They are also releasing a new billet rear diff in Dec 06.

Hey Phil, what gear do you expect to go through the traps in, also what HP are you making. I am debating 4.10's or 3.90's.

I don't dump the clutch, 6500-7500 and ride it out 15-25' depending on track conditions.

I just switched to 4.10s, going to run 28" tires on spray and 26" tires on motor, should be close to 7800 on spray through the traps. I'd have to calculate on motor.

Brotha, I am seriously thinking about them. This is my last effort at making it work.

It definitely hits the tires softer than a steel and makes more power.

This wasn't a comment on your driving style it was just my way of saying the car won't ever make a 1.5 60ft time.

Your probably right... His car probably wont EVER cut a 1.50 60ft..
Why??? Because he cuts 1.40-11.45 on a regular basis!!!.

Which tranny mainshaft are you getting 9310 nickle or 4340-300M?
9310 is brittle and will not flex at all. 4340-300M will flex and much stronger. Only problem not available anymore.

If you would read the whole thread instead of jumping in with your 2 cents as always you would see I was refering to my car not ever running 1.5 and the post that I had posted earlier. I have read all the posts on this car and know all the times he has posted. I'm just trying to learn a little more about the weak points in the drive line, but i appreciate you being soooo helpful.

Phil what about those lightweight steel flywheels? Do they have the same affect of a aluminum flywheel? Also do you know what the approximate weight difference was?

I'd be happy to send you a stack of time slips with 1.40-1.46 60's. If my car does 1.5 60's either I am leaving soft or no track prep. I plan on leaving @ 5k on the spray and looking for 1.36-1.39 60's with this new setup.

I read the ENTIRE thread. And it NEVER mentioned your car..If it would have, I would have NEVER posted.

Your EXACT quote was.
" This wasn't a comment on your driving style it was just my way of saying the car won't ever make a 1.5 60ft time."

So before you jump in my ****, maybe you should read the ENTIRE thread yourself.
And it looks like from Phils last response that he is under the same assumption I was. So are you gonna jump back on him and tell Him to read the whole thread as well???
