Default Finally got dynoed

Put down 490 rwhp, not the 500+ i was really hoping for.

Its got
AA Vortec sq triem blower
42 lb injectors
lP fuel pump
Texas speed headers with no cats.

If i wanted to go for 500rwhp what would net me the best gain-

Ls6 intake
or
BB Bullet exhaust?

Timing was set at i believe 17 degrees

I'm sorry, but adding meth at this power level is retarded.

Instead of spending $600 on something you really don't need yet spend $20 on a slightly smaller pulley.

I disagree, methanol will allow you to push timing and lower IATs. It will also save you from crap gas at times. And finally if he wanted a smaller pulley and increased chance for slip then he would do that as well.

Meth is one more point of failure. Ask me how I know.

My combo ran flawlessly at 500 and 600 rwhp without meth on pump gas.

Who did your tune? Are they familiar with FI cars? I only ask because if all you're looking for is to hit the 500 number, you might be able to get there through extra RPM, IAT vs. timing, or other tuning adjustments.

Just remember that you are trying to reach a number that doesn't really mean anything.

Then again I wasn't happy below 500 either
.... Add the meth

I disagree in that if meth is being used as a safety measure, it could be worth the cost of a new motor. If you are using it to get every last bit of power out of your setup, then it could be “another” point of failure. It all depends on how you are using it.

MTI did the tune. I have never been so impressed with the way any business much less a speed shop conducted themselves

They did one more pull and on a conservative tune ( with a slipping clutch ) the car did 511 RWHP. Tuner said that with a clutch and some fine touches on the tune i should be looking at 530-540 RWHP
