Roy, I think it's the smartest thing to do. You won't regret it next year when you're faster than most of the 6speed cars. Who knows, you might even have a shot at........naaah, just kidding, you still won't be close.

Hey Roy, that is by far the best mod..Get the right converter and u will never look back. I went 10.9 last year while on my cell at napierville..and that is no joke....Just don't make that tranny down shift under full throttle too often i heard that kills the tranny...

Why do you worry about what other people are saying?

Do want ever the hell you want to do.

They don't want to see you going wayyyyy faster than them thats all...and whats these roll-on things about? Isn't that what girls use in their hair?

Roy you gotta check out Rodney's tranny's. He can micro polish all the moving parts, including the ring and pinion-everyhting looks like a work of art you don't even want to put it in the car. You just have to see it to believe it. I was totally blown away with what goes into his tranny's and it's not aot of parts that most people use-you should see the stuff he pulls off of performance tranny's that come into his shop. He even has the 3/4 clutch burning up solved.

Roy knows Rodney. He has a RPM 6 speed and broke the 9310 mainshaft in it!

If your a HARDCORE DRAG RACER as you obviously are and want to take the car to the next level et wise, etc., then its a no brainer that you did the right thing. I think a lot of people bust ***** who are hardcore manuel tranny driver drag racers b/c they know it takes ALOT more skill to be the best drag racer in your class with a manuel tranny vs. it comes down to the car more when your running a point and shoot automatic (which clearly is the more consistent performer and will give you your best ets and less broken drive train parts for sure)!! That being said when a guy with a great et running automatic pulls off the killer time folks usually say that's awesome and that car is bad azz where if the same driver pulls or a great et he also gets accolades for his driving skill and the car (but who gives a rat'z azz when you want the fastest possilbe et as the automatic is going to clearly give you that)!

Have all broke the 9310 G-Force Shaft. It is simply not the right material ... this is more commonly used in gear shops as a gear material. Its just to brittle. We are working on the 300M productions MUHAHAHA

(Nick's Response)

Very well put, for the most part! Its one thing to be the fastest baddest driver but how consistent you are is the key in drag racing. Your cant run your number, your not going to win.

Also mentioned above, the right converter is going to play a big roll in a setup like this.

I sometimes wish I had an auto, especially the the C6 paddle shift, but I love the stick because I can change gears whenever I want. I love downshifting and hearing the exhaust. It makes the car more fun to drive In my opinion. It also gets better mpg. Almost every auto I've ever owned has blown a tranny or was slipping the gears. Granted I dont drive as hard now. I'm old fashioned when It comes to racing cars, and back In the day It was all stick...The saying was real men drive stick lol I can see some advantages of an auto though. Either way In a Vette Is great, I just love shifting thats me~
