I am finally close to being able to install my A&A T-Trim Vortech. Before I do that I have a problem.
Ever since my AFR heads, Comp Cam, and Yella Terra rockers were installed I have been getting false KR. I determined that it was false KR buy running Sunoco GT (104 octane or something like that) and still had the KR. The KR is there no matter what the IAT is and it is present with both 8.5 psi of boost or even now that the car is NA. The KR starts about 4000 rpm and it maxes out at 9.9 degrees. I have modified my timing table and reduced timing and that has no effect.
My thinking is that I either have a bad knock sensor (or two) or that the Yella Terras are inducing the KR.
I had false knock with my maggie. I installed new knock sensors and wiring harness, and made sure the harness was not pinched. Still had false knock so my tuner changed the sensing parameters on the sensors using the LS1 edit. Problem solved. Hope that helps.
thanks, I thought about that. Maybe I'll fire up EFILive (after the snow melts) and see what I can do.

I've read alot of bad things about those Yella Terra's-maybe try swaping to the stock rockers and see what happens. Are sure the rockers are adjusted right and you have the right pushrods?
Thanks. The rockers are adjusted correctly. The pushrods are also the correct length. The pushrod length was checked and I am running slightly longer than stock pushrods so that the rocker tip is centered properly on the valve stem.
I too have read stuff about issues with Yella Terras. I have a set of Comp Magnums but have not installed them yet. The 1.75 ratio of the Comps would bump my cam lift from .581" to .598" which is right at the max lift for my valve springs. At least I think that the AFR springs are rated to .600".
