The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
Sorry man, not gonna happen anytime soon. I could leave my desk walk over and grab a set of keys to a Vette for the day, or borrow a friends. But my next two planned personal automobile purchases both will be coming from Germany.
And I am already at RockStar Status...... At least on "Guitar Hero" LOL.
EA
PS: Yes that is a video game, yes I am to old for it. But it's to fun not to play.
Do you know how long it took for a 6 speed IRS supra to get in the 8's
Do you know how long it took for a Corvette in GENERAL to get in the 8's
Common now, don't split hairs with me. I am just saying stop crying about the IRS. The ONLY, and I mean ONLY thing you guys don't have over anyone is half shafts..... I even gave you the link for the person to talk to about getting them made. All you have to do is talk to him about getting them done. Get a group together and do it, don't talk about it. None the less, the parts that you currently have on the market for C5's are MORE then good enough for 9's all day long.
Just adding something like 28" Slicks over 26" Slicks helps save the rear end. But most people just don't understand that. And just being a little big easier on the launch with a 6 speed VS. a AUTO goes a long long way. Not only with breakage, but with getting the car to leave correctly.
I was also unaware that everyone wanted to go 8's.
I am more talking about the guys that I see at the track that have 600-800 rwhp and are still running 11's and high 10's and crying about the IRS.
Sorry for the confusion,
EA
UPDATE
Email sent to driveshaftshop@hotmail.com It would be nice if others do the same to see if that would get them to make some stronger driveshafts for us...

What I would suggest is that you get a thread going on the Corvette Forum.
Get a Group of people to basically sign a pledge to talk to them about making them. The more organized the better, that way it looks better to the company as far as taking the time and $$$ to invest into making the R&D effort worth it to them.
I'm just the white trash, midwestern, PBR drinking, None-Corvette Driving guy, trying to help,
EA
Actually thanks to all the "Its cool to look white trash" dudes out there in California drinking PBR all the time.....(Like steve at Vortech LOL
)The Price has been driven up to like $6.99 a 6 pack......
When I am in LA, it costs more for a PBR, then a Bud Light. WTF?
And now you can get PBR on tap at most large bars in my area.
So I refuse to conform, and pay those high prices, and blend in......
So I am back to Schlitz, where i can get a 6'er for $2.99
