Default Fuel system question...........

With Andy's base V2 SQ system, which would be better for a car that was basically stock with headers..... a BAP or a fuel pump or both?

The car will run a 3.6" pulley and put out 475-500 rwhp with an A4.

Thanks in advance guys! I Appreciate the help!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I have the base S-Trim system with the LPE fuel pump, and it couldn't supply enough fuel to feed my stock longblock C5 Z06 motor with long tube headers. I'll have to install the BAP and do the tuning again, since the tuning with only the LPE pump showed that the motor was losing fuel pressure at anything above 6K. At least the LPE install is done and now all I have to do is install the BAP.

At your level I would just add a BAP and, because it's so hard to find a good working pump, wouldn't touch the pump unless it dies or shows signs of failing.

Is this for a new setup or an existing setup? If it's for a new setup, then I'm assuming that the car still needs a tune. And if it needs a tune, you don't want to find that you don't have enough fuel on the dyno and have to pay for a second tune. With that said, I would just do both at once to be certain and to have peace of mind as mentioned above.

On the other hand, if your tuner is willing to work with you and not charge you for two tunes if he needs to pull the car off the dyno and install a pump... well, take him up on that, and maybe just start with a BAP.

Thank You! That does make sense!

It's for a new install. I have EfiLive for my car, so that wouldn't be too bad, but it'd save some time to just do both right off the bat.

Rob you would still need wiring harness from Racetronix to do the BAP or make your own to work with LPE Pump. If your kit has not shipped already, ask for BAP instead and do the Racetronix pump with wiring harness. Thunder Racing has an excellent price on it. Just thought I would give you heads up.

Guys please NO LPE pump against Racetronix pump war
