I need help!!!! I recently had a cam and head change on my LS1 2002Vette. I had to use valve cover spacers for rocker arm clearance.
The coil nearest to the alternator does not have enough room to fit
between the alternator and valve cover now.
I was wondering if anyone knows of a modification that is done to cure this problem.
I have been told that there is a special alternator bracket available to cure this problem but no one knows who sells this Bracket.
I have called several places they have referred me to this forum for help.
Thank You!!!

You must have ETP heads. I do and went through this very issue. All you need to do is notch the back of the bracket about 1/8th" or so. In terms of the coil mount get yourself some flat aluminum stock around 1/2" x 1.5" and you use this as an extension to move the coil bracket back thus moving it toward the firewall about 1". On the first coil, simply remove the lower bolt and tilt the coil back to clear the alternator. PM me if you need any other info.
I think the member "Phil97svt" has made some special alternator bracket extentions. You can probably buy one off of him. I also think that A&A makes them as well. Their in the 50-60 dollar range.
