Default A good source for...

Guys what is a good source for 3.2" pulley for a Vortech S trim? Smallest one Andy has is a 3.4"

I am going to be running ECS blower cam with possibly 317 heads without alky or meth. My goal is simple... to hit 600rwhp on stock LS1 short block and get a few thousand miles out of it before blowing it up Car has all the bolt ons. Car will be tuned for pump gas only. I live in the middle of no where and when I talk about Alky people point me towards the redneck pubs and when I talk about meth they point me to some single wide trailers on deserted back roads in the country

Thanks

This is the company that makes pulleys for tuners like Andy. You can give them a call yourself, you might get lucky and they might have it on the shelf. I purchsed my 3.6" from them, since then I have purchased a 3.4" from Andy, yet to be installed. What rpm are you planning to rev to and what boost psi do you hope to make? GOOD LUCK ON YOUR BUILD

I had Reichard make me a custom Pulley, it it worked out great!!

As far as Meth goes, I would reconsider it. Get an Alky kit from ECS, and I'll drop ship you jugs of pure meth from Torco!!! Works for me!

How much are the jugs of meth Joel? and what size.

As far as pulleys go, unless you are going for a rediculous amount of boost, I would use a standard pulley from Vortech. The grooved pulleys wear the belt out faster and is not necessary for the level of boost you are looking to make. Longevity is key.

So much for the " I only want to make 525 rwhp and I'll be happy" thinking huh? It's funny how you got power Crazy before your blower is even on! I had a feeling it was going to happen! I agree with putting the meth on just for safety sake. Good Luck Nouman!

By the way, my setup just got here yesterday and I'm itchin to "Get 'er Done!"

^^^^ Rob you will understand when you will do it. Its a little bit more work but worth it in the end. Hell you are taking the steering rack out anyway. I dont drag race and am really not power crazy. I have owned crazy HP single Turbo Supra pushing over 1100rwhp and I went all crazy with that car. C5 will never see anything over 600rwhp anytime soon.

Thanks for the advise Doug. I will start out with 3.6 what I got now and down the road change it out to 3.2. Will I need another tune if I change pulleys?

Yeah Nouman, sure it won't! You should take a poll of how many

guys in this section of the forum have said that.............and stuck to it!

I'd guess that if you add more boost, you've got to add more fuel and touch up the tune to make it work. Just my VERY uneducated opinion, but it just makes sense to me. MAybe a tuner will pop in and give you the scoop!

Good Luck!

^^^ Steve I know that. Too bad Don is nowhere close. I have just purchased ECS blower cam and I am getting 317 heads milled down to 69.5 chamber to get CR of 9.8 as 72cc will give me 9.4 which is tad too low. I am also going with Dual springs and will keep the 3.6 pulley that Andy sent out with the blower (wont use the restrictor plate) and see where it will take me. I think with ECS blower cam and 317 heads with 3.6 pulley and no restrictor plate, I may reach my goals

60lbs Motorons, Racetronix pump, wiring harness and KB BAP is what I have for fuel. I may take some of Joel's Torco juice though

[QUOTE=DOUG @ ECS;1558551617]How much are the jugs of meth Joel? and what size.
QUOTE]

Shipping 5 gallon jugs of Meth is not very cost effective. It cost around $30 for the jug, but at least $40 to ship it...

I add a few jugs to the pallet when I get my order shipped to me from Torco, and it's not as bad. I could still go out to a local speed shop and buy it cheaper, but this way, I know I'm getting good stuff, and it's shipped right to my door!!

If you want a few 5 gallon jugs of Torco and a few of meth, I could drop ship you a pallet. They will ship it on a truck, and you won't get hit for the HAZ MAt charges.
Let me know, Torco is on Sale!!!

I didn't mean fuel system. I meant fuel in your tune and tweak your tune. You might want to get a meth system just as insurance. When you're trying put the squeeze and get the most out of it, it's probably worth it.

Also, if you're set on going to a smaller pulley, you might want to do it before you get it tuned, then you won't have to tune it twice. Once again though, I'd highly recommend the alky if you're doing the pulley
Good Luck! .
