Default High HP guys inside please!

Which tire is the best for traction on the street for an 18x10.5 inch rim? I don't care about price or longevity. I am upping the boost on my car and adding alky and am going to be pushing around 660 at the wheels. The car has a 3.73 gear in it as well. Thanks for any help. I would really like to hear from personal experience!

Well, I've used Nitto's, BFG's, and MT DR's and obviously MT DR's are the best for strictly traction, however they haven't come out w/them yet in 18" that I'm aware of. Right now I'm using nitto DR's and I love them. I'm a little over 800rwhp at the wheels, so nothing holds all the way up to 4th gear, but I've been extremely pleased w/the nitto's. I can't feel much of a drop in performance compared to the 18" bfg's. I went through probably 6 sets of bfg's in 2 years driving the car all the time and driving it hard. They'd last a good 3k miles w/a couple trips to the track. The nittos have been to the track once and have 3k miles on them and look almost like new. For the money, I'd go w/nitto's, but the bfg's are just a tad better for traction

Got some Nitto DRs for the street but they don't last for chit. They hook great! However, my KDW2s hooked ok but last 10 times as long. I will go back with those tires. Of course, I tend to light 'em up a lot.

What model BFG's do you guys use and how much does it effect handling?

Stock size for my car and I would say there are not adverse effects on handling.. the car still handles great.

I think I am going to give the BFG's a try. One last question, how do they compare to the 555 R II in wet weather? I don't plan on having the car out in the rain but you never know! My R II's handled just fine...

I am using 295 bfg drag radials. Im not really high horsepower like many around here, only h/c making 440rwhp but the car dead hooks. I can't spin the tires at all and that's with no burnout.
