Me either, but I bet it keeps my name at the top of the thread list for a while.

Mike

Not starting anything but just wondering.
Well I don't like the coupe body style and my previous vette was a vert. Bought this one with the intention of racing it. Once you get past a certain point the thrill of side stepping a clutch and wondering if you are going to break something subsides.

I have kept all of my stick parts. The jury is still out for me as to which is better. But they always say the shortest path between two points is a straight line. The auto is by far the better way to go faster with less risk for breaking parts.

Nothing started on my end, I am still not convinced I will like it better for anything but drag racing.

ALSO.. the way the conversion stuff from RoadRebel works, it is nothing that could not be undone.

with turbo cars the auto has some notable advantages (especially for drag racing). loading the turbos on the line so you can come out on boost, holding the throttle WOT on shifts so you can keep the turbos spooled, "cushioning" the hit so the drivetrain can hopefully survive, and last but not least, not wearing out the clutch leg in traffic.

I've been driving both stick cars and automatic for a long time. I'm kinda a "purist" too in that it's not a vette if it's not a stick. but with the turbos, I think the slush box makes alot of sense. Now if I can just find someone who wants a BUILT RPM MN12 Lvl 5 Z06 tranny, torq tube, textralia, shifter, the works, I can afford to do my conversion.

anyone out there interested?? sorry for the highjack, but at least it's
a4 conversion related.

Sorry Arun, LB, Sudbury C5 and any other canadians with Vettes but you guys should be driving when not modding. I have seen a 2006 or 07 Z06 about 4 times since the snow has flown here in Hamilton. Get out and drive em. He was giving her up my road. It sounded great. I commend the guy. Just had to mention this.
