Default pulling timing with a resistor?

I read in a post some one was using a resistor on one of the sensors to pull timing on demand with a relay, but cant find it. Can someone elaborate on this. I know how it would hook up, but I dont know which sensor and which resistor to use. Thanks, adown

I saw LPE use the IAT sensor and a switch to "trick the computer" into thinking the air is hotter to pull timing.

not sure of how to do it, but I believe that's the method. pretty simple and effective mod. but I think it would be better to just tune it.

they did this on the line to help the turbos spool a bit better I believe.

It depends on what you are trying to accomplish. Typically you would want PCM to think it’s colder (like arctic cold) and edit appropriate tables for desired outcome.

Tables for resistance versus temperature can found on sites like Omega. If you need help finding it let me know.
