Same as we have here in the Midwest.

But the ONLY time they check is when you buy a car from another state, the car has to be inspected. They are supposed to do a visual check to make sure they are still there. But out of the multiple cars I have bought this year, and had inspected..... NOT one of them even took the time to look at anything other then the VIN tag on the dash, and the tags on the body panels.

Maybe someday they will get a little more strict... but doesn't look like anytime soon.

PS: Even more lax on my bike, they didn't even look at the VIN on the frame, they just looked at the sticker on the side of the frame. Lazy buggers.

Thanks but not what I asked. If I move to Florida and bring my catless C5 with me will I be able to pass inspection?

When I was there for a while, YES you had to have them on there. Each and every year when you would have to go in for your inspection. They were pretty lax on the sniffer test, but you still had to have all emissions equipment on the car.

I have heard in recent years, they have done away with the sniffer tests. But if they still have visual tests, then likely it's just gonna depend on how "strict" of a place you take it to.

We only have one that we can go to, and it's the Highway Patrol. And the are about as lazy as it gets.
