Hello I currently have the stock ZO6 MAF on my 2001 coupe. The car has a built engine and I am currently at 540RWHP on 8 PSI. I am going to bump it to 12 PSI and add meth which will bring the HP to around 650RWHP. My question is, will the ZO6 MAF be able to support this kind of power. I am tuning with EFI live. Thanks!!

The maf will be maxed out, but you can tune for it without having any problems. We use EFILive as well, give us a call and ask for Brent, and he can help you out. 260 244-4808. Bob

I would think that your MAF is maxed out already if you rev above 6000 rpm. What size injectors are you using ? If they are the Ford 42# ones then they are close to being maxed out too.

Hey thanks a lot Bob, I will give Brent a call in the morning.
While there is the ocasional MAF failure at elevated levels most compostite MAFS hold up well. I personally have tune 50+ boosted cars with 12+ psi and no failures. A lot of the failures I have seen appear to stem more from how they are installed with poor alignments etc putting a side stress on the plastic housings.
Oh okay. Then the stocker SHOULD hold up at 12 psi and alky (don't know if the alky matters) as long as it is aligned up correctly and the tuning is good?
