Default Alky Questions

Do any of the kits come with a reservoir? I want to still use washer fluid on the windshield (DD)

During daily driving around town, how long does a gallon of Meth last? (I know it's an open question, but guess for me)

How much do the kits cost?

In my case 5 gallons cost between $3 and $4 / gallon.

I run 100 meth.
My five gallon jerry can lasts 6 months.

Car is my daily drive but I make a point of getting into it every day at least for a few bursts.

ECS kit was $575 as I recall. Pump pressure is boost regulated. Kit uses a 2 bar MAP and has a neat green/red LED that sits above my boost gauge which indicates when the system first begins running (red) and when it is at full pressure (green).
Using the washer tank for the meth provides you with a built in low level warning that you need a refill

Hello...

ECS has done some kits with a separate reservoir in the past, I can find out what a custom system would cost if you want me to.

The off the shelf systems are $575 for a single nozzle kit and they are $625 for a dual nozzle kit. The kits are complete with everything you need to make them work.

As for function, as explained when the system is activated the LED will be red, this lets you know the starting threshold has been reached, the starting point is of course adjustable. Once the system is at pressure, the light turns green.

As for the alky... in general the washer fluid tank holds about 1.5 gallons and depending on how you drive the tank will last about three tanks of gas with spirited driving.

Hope that helps and if you want to order let me know, I can set you up. The kits are nice, I have installed several and have two more on the way to my place for installation.

I paid $29 for 5 gal at the local performance shop. Paid $4/gal at a go Kart shop. So, I'd say your guy is a little pricey.

I paid $4 per gallon at a local shop. Julio at alky control has a 24 oz washer reservoir available for about $20 that will allow you to keep your washers. I'm also looking at using an aluminum catch can to make a custom setup.

PM Julio, he would be the best person to answer this. I am sure the system can handle it since it will take Methanol, but from a best fueling perspective, don't know.

We have several customers running Denatured alcohol, the only problem is that it costs roughly $10 per gallon. That can be picked up at Home Depot, but any local race track or performance shop should have meth for around $3-4. It can also be ordered through VP or Sunoco, but there is a Hazmat charge on the delivery.
I have also been told that many hobby shops carry it as well.

Hope that helps
