White Lightning Coating
Im curious how much it costs you to get them coated and how long the turn around time was.
Please post up pictures if you got them.
Thanks
I'm wanting to say he paid a little over $500 to have his coated, but could be wrong. I opted to fore-go the stock coating that PTK includes with their kit, and go straight to the WhiteLightning stuff. I'm not taking a chance on this underhood heat issue. Anyways, mine was less than $500 (can't remember the exact amount), but, I chose not to use PTK's original coating, so it should even out. BTW, I think his turnaround time was around 3 weeks. According to PTK, mines been there over a month. Who knows....
You might also think about putting some type of coating OVER the SwainTech stuff, as I'm told it pretty porous (sp?) and absorbant. i.e. dirty fingers will leave dirty fingerprints. Kevin Sheridan went with a hi-temp rattle can paint for his, and from what I understand, is working out just fine. Nick contacted me about having some hi-temp powdercoating done overtop of the SwainTech. I like this idea better than painting it, as it'll probably be more durable. SwainTech also says that there is absolutely no problem with powdercoating overtop of their stuff.
Hope this helps.
