Default FP gauge install

I'm trying to hook up my fuel pressure gauge to the end of the fuel rail and am having a problem finding an adaptor. I've searched the archives and all of the suggestions refer to an AN to pipe adaptor but here is the issue: when checking the threads the fitting on the rail didn't seem to match anything that I could come up with. I took the dust cap down to the local Aeroquip dealer and they said that the threads were actually a metric size. The standard threaded fitting would thread on if forced but do not mesh quite right. Does anyone make a proper (metric to standard) adaptor?

It's an auto meter 6163. What I don't get is the dust cap will thread on a -4 fitting but a -4 female won't thread on the fuel rail. That tells me that the thread is not metric. Also if a fuel pressure tester will thread on it can't be an oddball thread. Maybe I'm just trying the wrong AN fitting.

Found the specs for the adapter here in the archives when I installed my fp gauge over a year ago. You have to relieve the fuel pressure, remove the pin in the valve at the fuel rail and then thread the adapter and then the sender on to the end of the rail...

What are the specs? I found a source online for the adaptor I need but would like to find one locally if possible.

-4 AN

Whats pictured is a -4 AN Swivel (Blue fitting).

Your likely going to need a -4 AN Female to a 1/8"NPT Male

Guys,

I have a 18" braided fuel line with the -4an on one end to 1/8" on the other. This is part of my a-pillar gauge kits. They are $35 plus shipping, about $5 for ground. This line is a great way to relocate whatever you have inline away from the block/heat.

PM me if you want one, in stock ready to go.

I had one made up for me so the problem is solved. The only thing I wasn't able to find was a female 1/8" fitting to go on the end of the braided line so I had to use an adaptor but it works great. Thanks for the offer though.
But I am still thinking about that Cartek line lock.
