CARTEK Line-Locks Now Available @ ICS Performance ***
ICS and Cartek have teamed up and we are now a STOCKING Line-Lock Dealer. I plan on making these line-locks available as part of our Complete Gauge Package solutions as an option along with a shift light package option as well.
The Cartek Line Lock is available on it's own:
01-04 Version in stock @ $249.00
more on the way
And to get things started, I am offering FREE SHIPPING by Ground anywhere the US for the entire month of April.
Email is best but PM's are fine too.
I hope some of you find this of interest. I installed mine in about 5 minutes, bled it, hooked up the wires by jumper leads to test and was doing smokey burnouts 15 minutes after opening the box. No BS here and no searching around for this fitting or that line, then make all the bends. With this baby, I would be confident enough to let my intern install it on my car, it's just that easy.
Brian
Thanks.
Edit: The reason I ask is that I have seen some at the track that would have looked better if they had duct taped over them.

You don't have to remove the alternator or anything major, just the washer tank which takes all of 30 seconds. As you can see, the bends are perfectly the same and you don't have to mess with any fittings or any other BS when it comes to line locks. As far as the wiring goes, that is up to you, I still have yet to think outside the box on where I am going to mount the switch and self supplied idiot LED.
I haven't done anything with the wiring yet, just rigged it in so I can show you this, just a quick 1st gear burn using the lock:

Crappy camera and no sound, but I did this just for you guys.
Up to 99, there is a proportion valve (between MC and booster) and some 2000's have the same setup.
Both versions are $249
97 guys should contact Cartek direct due to those being made to order and install is a major PITA. If I am out of stock, shipping from Cartek is no problem either because if I am out and I am having your shipped from them, I have to order more for my inventory. That was the deal I worked out Julian and Max.
CT guys, I cover the shipping to me if you are going to pick it up but I do have to charge tax.
Seriously guys, if there has ever been a drop in part, this is it, easier than an intake or exhaust install. The wiring, even though it is very easy to do, you will have to run wires through the fire wall, no biggie for the shade tree mechanic. I would use an LED so you know when it is on.
MC/Visa gladly accepted via phone, email.
Thanks for taking the time to check out this promotion.

Oh, I found it helpful to have a crow's foot socket for the ratchet in order to free the brake line on the ABS unit.

Basically like pictured above but with a box end to help preserve the hex nuts on the brake lines. Got a nice metric set from Northern Tool for something like $20 a year ago.

I definitely recommend this unit to anyone with a manual trans. It is easier on the brakes, clutches, and differential. I know it was more than worth the money I spent on it and install is very easy.

Ok....Here's the stupid question of the day.
Do I just push the brake down and then press the button?? Press again to release??
I want to install it before my next trip to the strip and not look like an idiot.
Thanks.

I pull through the water box giving the car a good romp to just spin the tires and get some water on them. I then pull up about 3 feet past the water box. I pump the brake pedal a few times to get it nice and firm. Then I hold it down and push the button to arm the linelock (make sure to install a light so you know when it is on). I then stall up the car to around 4k and dump the clutch doing a 2nd gear burnout. I adjust the throttle to hold the car a 6k rpms and not hit the rev limiter. I keep the burnout going for a few seconds until I start to see good smoke beginning to come from the tires. I then press the button to turn the linelock off. I let the car roll forward while still in the throttle for a bit and then stop before the lights to stage the car.

I need one.
