DTE diff strut, does your bottom out?

Default DTE diff strut, does your bottom out?

I just made my first pass with new clutch and DTE diff strut. Launched at 5K with a dump, it dug in then sounded like it bottomed out. Then kinda bounced/hopped sideways and took off. Does yours do this with a hard launch?

It caused a crappy 60 foot, but the rest of the run was OK. Only one run due to bad weather and 500 cars wanting to race:

Nice run!

My DTE does *not* bottom out, even with the car lowered.

Get her up on a lift and see what scraped!

Get her up in the air and check all the carraige bolts, etc

I checked all over and found one spot it looks like the brace banged into the exhaust and left a fresh paint mark. There's like 2 inches clearance with vehicle in the air, but maybe they bumped together when it squatted, enough to mess up the suspension action.

It certainly bottomed, and rebounded causing the rear to bounce sideways off the line... But it barely left a mark.

It was a hard launch at 5K with no spin, except for the bounce. I don't know how to correct this except don't launch as hard next time?

Move your exhaust further away from the brace and you should be ok as mine has never bottomed out

Is that the stock H pipe exhaust ? Mine isn't that close.

Can the brace be put on the car with the rear and tranny still in?
