Has anyone heard any issues about getting the kits from TTi? My installer says that the Turbonetics turbos are way behind on delivery. Last time I talked to TTi they told me the lead time was way out into May for the delivery!

Thanks,
The Big Dog

Hmmmmm. How should I respond? TTi orders turbos from another vendor. TTi can only keep calling the turbo vendor and harrassing them to get the turbo's expedited. Some things are out of TTi's control. I can say that the delay is not the norm. I was given an estimated time for my TTi X kit to arrive and it showed up EXACTLY when I was told.

Not sure why your post is directed at TTi.

I have received two kits from them in the past month and a half. I am one of their dealers and what your installer is telling is somewhat correct. We have had to wait on several occasions for turbos.

There is not a lot that TTi can do about it. I can tell you that I received both of the kits I ordered within the time frame promised by TTi, even with the delays in getting turbos.

I think it is important that you note when you bought your kit and what lead time was stated for the kit. I got a lead time of 5-6 weeks for the last two kits I purchased, because of the turbo issues.

I have ordered several kits from TTi I have not had one show up outside of the window they promised. They do a stellar job of giving accurate information on delivery BEFORE they have your money.

If there is something you specifically need let me know. If you just wanted someone to verify that your information on the delays on turbos was correct, there you have it.

Good morning! Nick here... Do you have a kit on order? Who are you? I don't recall talking to you recently BUT the lead time on a kit is about a month. We have a few C5 kits left to build and a few pre-orders for our C6 kit as well. Lead time should be about a month IF you were to place a deposit as of today.

Turbonetics is very busy as stated earlier but they have yet to dissatisfy us with there services which is why we continue to use them for our turbo systems.

Nick,

The Big Dog here. My installer is Lee Howie Automotive, Not really concerned about getting the kit when I talked to you last I was quoted a long lead time which I uncderstand since I am a Purchasing manager. Just curious as to when it was coming in. As you can tell I am real excited about the install of a top shelf kit.

Thanks,
Greg

Even with the delay, that seem like a pretty quick delivery considering what you are ordering.

So, you are the reason I have not recieved mine. I ordered mine on or about January 2nd and I am still waiting. I was told maybe a couple of months, then mid-March, then mid-April. I was hoping to install it before the weather got nice and get it to Norwalk. I guess that won't happen. BTW, I am not bashing TTi. I am glad they are busy.

It just depends on where you are at in the order I suppose.

Default Still waiting. I'll be putting the car away for the winter before long

Hmm, where am I at in the order then? First I was told March, then April, then May. Nick says a few posts up that the lead time is 1 month. Here it is 5 weeks since my last post and I still don't have the kit. I was told it would be here 2 weeks ago. I called TTi and I found out what happened to the last promised date. A local installer convinced TTi to ship my kit to his customer. I had talked to him back in January about installing mine.

Here is the proof. They told me my kit would ship next Thursday when I talked to them this same week.

This is Bull crap. George convinced me to cancel my APS kit for this and I paid APS a cancellation fee. I thought a US based company would care more about their customers than an Aussie one. I guess I was wrong.

Wow a few months just to get the Kit?

huh... paid for my APS thursday (friday Austraila time) and got it monday morning...

there is NO reason why you have to wait more than 30 days for any Kit unless its not produced yet.

not bashing ttix (from the numbers they are the TOP DOG in turbo Kits )
but they need to speed up production.

No, not months. Its been 5 months and 3 weeks and still no kit. I ordered on Jan 2. Its not just a production issue. Its a supplier issue, as well as a customer service issue, since there are obviously others getting their kits. I paid my deposit on 2/22, which I thought meant that it was being produced.

Right now T-netics is behind on some turbos. They are having problems with their supply at this point. Just part of the turbo waiting game, nothing TTI or others can do.

I know turbonetics is behind. They were not behind when I ordered and they never were this far behind. They can't be blamed for this. I know for a fact that others have ordered much later than I and got their kit. This thread is proof. I don't know what I did to deserve this.
