Best Oil for Turbo System

Best Oil for Turbo System
Which is the better oil for a stock LS6 with a T Turbo system.
1. Amsoil 5w-30w
2. Royal Purple 10w-30w or 5w-30w
3. Mobil 1 Extended 5w-30w
4.Amsoil 0w-30w Severe service
Car is only driven Spring, Summer and Fall but I would think i would need the best protection for elevated oil temps.
At what interval show this be changed. I already notice the oil wear guide moving a bit quicker than before..
Thanks

With the added heat and stress the turbos produce I would go with either:
Mobil1 0W-40
Amsoil 5W-40 European Car Formula
The Amsoil 0W-30 has been thinned out a bit, but still a great oil. I just think you should use an oil with a thicker oil film
Or if you could scrape up some Green German Castrol 0W-30 that would be a great choice as well. It's almost a 40wt oil but still legally a 30.
As for length it should be run... I would personally run it 3000 miles then do an oil analysis and if everything looks good, you could push it based on the cleanliness to about 5000 to 7500 miles.

It's actually pretty darn close if your engine is healthy and you're running a good synthetic oil. A 40 multi-grade should work fine in any ls1. PM forum member "Patman" he's a moderator over on the oil forum www.bobistheoilguy.com . He's very knowledgeable and I suspect he may suggest something similar... but I won't speak for him!
Oil temps will probably be high so the 40wt would hold up better.
