Well according to APS, they weigh each package and weigh each box for final shipping weight. This will also tell them if something is missing or not. Each package is also sealed with a "Packed by #9" or whoever slip in it. My problem is, we've been missing a couple things so far including a scavenge pump. $400 is not something to be missing. I either eat the cost, or charge the shop doing the install because its "Impossible".
Well, the weight argument is a strong one, especially since a scavenge pump would weigh enough to be noticed if missing. I thought maybe you meant nuts and bolts or a hose or something.
No, I gave the three boxes to the shop. We were missing some nuts and bolts too, so who knows. Thats only why I ask. I think it grew legs, but thats an argument I have to encounter later.
this is really something that you should not be invovled in.
this is between the SHOP and APS.
Sucks they put it on you, but the shop should call APS let them know they opened the box and went through everything and this is what is missing (if it is a competent shop APS should have no reason not to beleive them).

Agreed... whoever opened the box and pulled out the parts (and threw away the boxes) needs to work with APS to figure this out.
My parts were all there. I thought I had a fitting missing and called Peter. I found the part before he returned my call. He said they weigh each bag etc. to be sure they weigh to the oz of what they are supposed to.There are a lot of parts , fittings etc. You have to be careful to keep up with with them all. That was one of the reasons I pushed myself to finish the install becuase I wanted to get everything on the car before something got misplaced.
I finished my install today, actually started the car and drove it around the neighborhood!! One thing that amazed me was there was not a single piece missing, evey nut, every bolt, every hose clamp was there!! I couldn't believe it being there is so many pices, but every last one was there!! Sorry for your troubles but I'd probably be looking at your shop, not APS. Good Luck!!
I know not to blame APS on this one, just hunting for answers I guess. The problem with the situation is that APS deals only with dealers. Like LAPD. If I need a part, I have to contact LAPD to get my parts, then they contact them, 3 days later its being shipped. Oh well, its almost done and I'm getting eager, atleast its running.

Jimmy, how are you running it without the scavenge pump? Or you must have bought one then, right? There was no part number on mine otherwise I would have posted it, sorry! I even took it off the car so I could look under the rubber boot!
Nouman, when I said install is finished, I meant the turbo, today I will finish up the alchy injection and gauges, but am still waiting on just a couple parts for that. Couldn't believe it, fired right up, sounded good, brakes, clutch were spot on, new tranny shifted perfect!!! it was finally a good day!!

Congrats Dan! Can't wait to see the thread when it's all done
The pump I had to get from Kinsler Fuel Injection. It was $400. My car started right up too with no problems. Were running a SD tune too. I'll go see it wednesday and hopefully drive it. I've heard it sounds pissed off....which is what I want.
