give us some details onr your setup. ie: wet or dry, fpss, ws, bottle pressure, ect.
sorry........ my set up is a HSW single nozzle dry set up.....I have a FPSS set at the standard 35psi......bottle heater......the pressure was roughly 900 when used the nitrous.....and a purge. I also have a dual stage rpm window switch.
It was really surgin alot which tells me its rich ? I moved the nozzle a bit (10-15 degrees up) and it surged less but it still surged. My nozzle is about 5 inches from my MAF. Thanks in advance
as of right now I dont ? do u think its possibly just nozzle position ? I moved it further up......and it surged less.......ive read that surging means that its too rich ? anyone had this problem before ? Im also in the process of buying an Altronics 02 alert. I dont think it has direct logging abilities but it should tell me if I'm too rich or not........anyone recommend a fairly priced way to log my a/f ratio ?
If it is a dry kit before the mas meter then it is relying on the meter to add the correct fuel to the motor. Maybe you are not getting a good reading off of the meter or your tank pressure could be low. I am not that great on dry kits but maybe try cleaning off your meter and trying it again.
yep its a dry kit and its spraying about 5 inches before the MAF......what should i clean it with......I just removed the screen inside like i was instructed to before I installed the kit. The engine runs great when its not on the spray so I know its not a spark plug or the wires. The more I moved the nozzle away(up....so not directly pointing at the MAF) the less it surged......but it still did........would u think its just nozzle adjustment ?
i have the stock 28.4 lb injectors......no tune......all stock.......CAI and exhuast......I moved the nozzle more today and it definately surged less..... i just rotated the nozzle up about 30 degrees.....Im going to move it once more and see what happens
all the above suggestions are good BUT...start with the easy/obvious thing. Make a small jumper wire to groud out the FPSS. SOMetimes when this thing is adjusted improperly, it will cause a surging because its allowing power to the solenoids and sometimes taking it away if the FPSS thinks the presure is dropping. Try this first. Just a 2 inch piece of wire, and attach it to the two screw ends of the FPSS to make it an open circuit all the time.

That is exactly what I would suggest. Be carefull rotating your nozzle with out a way to check a/f, you could be going dangerously lean and not know it. Unless you have a bad bottle fill, the pressure will not matter unless very low, which a weight will tell if your about empty. Upping presure will be just like adding a bigger jet, and the a/f will stay relative, another benifit of a dry hit. keep us updated, and we will all help get this sorted out, I am sure it's nothing major.
