Default Gatorback Belts

I called Procharger about these belts, and even though there have been lots of positive reviews on the board that they are an ungrade, Procharger claims they are not. ANy thoughts?

Default Gatorback Belts

Spoke to Procharger again today....apparently they are changing their tune and claiming the Gatorbacks may be a cure for the squealing some of us have experienced on cold start ups with the Gates belts...

I thought the same thing but decided to stick with GATES!

They are proven and a lot of FI fella's I have talked too have had some issues with the Gator belts!

NAPA sells Gates and they work excellent

Thanks,Matt

Interesting...I have seen several comments of a negative nature regarding GatorBack belts. In four years of use I have never had even one issue, particularly due to slipping or noise. Perhaps I am just lucky but I know several other folks who run them as well with no issues.

Default Ati

I had a Gates, worked fine, other than nasty squealing when cold. ATI is now recommending the Gatorbacks as a squeal solution.

I would be curious to compare the setup/hp levels of those that have trouble and those that don't (with the Gatorback). A tuner I spoke with didn't recommend the Gatorbacks for high HP set ups (over 550-600rwhp). Under this, he said I would be fine?

I have a little over 650 rwhp with a Gatorback and as I said no problems.
