I have previously been having surging problems with my dry 100 shot....well anyway talked to Matt at HSW and moved my nozzle. It is not about 2 inches from my MAF......The surgin has almost stopped.....but it doesnt feel like im getting a 100 shot at all. More like a 35...lol.......any suggestions. Beer said that i might be running out of injector. I have a 02........28lb injectors......hope someone can help. Thanks
it was over 900........still have at least 4 lbs in the bottle as well.......Im about to give up on the dry kit and convert to a wet one........Robert56 if u have any suggestions let me know. U are the dry nos king from everything I have read.
Also does anyone live in WI or IL that is on this forum that has put nos on their ls1 ? Anyone know of a good tuner in either states? I am about over my head and am ready to get some help from someone more experienced than me.....Thanks in advance
it's been a while since I had nitrous but I thought bottle pressure should be around 1200. Also if you have a bad tune or bad gas, the car could be pulling a lot of timing.
It is very possible to be running out of injector. Does the car have any other mods besides the nitrous? I know my car ran out of injector at 450 rwhp after heads and cam plus bolt ons.
I had same problem last year. My nozzles are now 4 1/2 " from the sensor.
When mine were too close they surged bad. Try readjusting the angle of the spray. Make sure the nozzle you have is spraying to the middle of the maf. Not blowing off to the left or right side. Also, with bottle pressure... you can adjust the hit with pressure. I like mine at 1100 instead of the 950.
What jet size you using, and dual nozzle or single nozzle. also, which nozzle(s) are you using ie: straight shooter, 90*, 70* or 45*. A pic of the nozzle location would be the best info you could supply. No worry, we can get this figured out. I made 480rwhp on stockblock and stock fuel system running a dry. Any print outs of dyno and a/f curves?
Robert
70 degrees single nozzle. 2 inches from MAF....no way to log.....anyone suggest a decently priced way to check my a/f ratio ? Robert56 can u send me ur email and i will send u some pics.....Thanks
And i am also downstream of the MAF....about 2inches away now. I have a volant CAI with dual filters. I was thinking about drilling a hole in the flat spot at the bottom and mounting a straight shooter there. I would be about 9 inches away so I thought i could make a bracket to hold the nozzle and run the nos line through the CAI and then mount the nozzle pointing straight at the MAF......any ideas?

E-mail is in my profile. Have you indexed your nozzle so you know for a fact that it's actually aiming at the MAF wires? Doesn't take much to miss MAF.
Robert
I'll try and send you some pics tonight on your email. And how exactly are you indexing the nozzle? I just eyed it up when i did it so that might be a problem. I dont know if its hitting all 3 wires either. That might be an issue as well. Thanks again for your help.
