I definitely notice that the car doesn't have the same jump when it is 80+ degrees outside, like it is now. I am just wondering what kind of dropoff to expect as opposed to the 40 degree weather? I'm sure that my tuner pulled timing considerably, being on a stock bottom end, though I don't know what the timing was set at to begin with. It feels like it easily could have lost 50 RWHP. If I run it at the track in this weather it probably doesn't mean all that much since the car would be considerably quicker in the colder months. Until I go forged though I'm sure that I will have to just learn to deal with it. Bummer
I recently got HP Tuners so I could start logging and figure out what was going on with my car. IAT's were the biggest factor in pulling timing. For the drag strip, I have upped my IAT threshold substantially so it doesn't pull timing. I'm comfortable with this b/c I have meth injection. I believe the stock IAT threshold is 100 degrees and I'm always above that after the burnout. Even on the street in normal driving it will be slightly above 100 - interstate driving is less with the airflow. Yesterday in 85 degrees, I would start a run around 130 IAT and finish in the low 90's after 10 secs of meth injection. Before making the change to IAT's, I'd lose up to 8 degrees of timing - that was the difference between 121 and 131 traps. HTH
