Default Twin Turbo Problems

Ok the weather dropped to low 80's yesterday and today here in vegas(it was in mid 100's since i got the car)and my nittos 555r are going up in smoke at 80 MPH in 4th low RPM which they NEVER had traction problems even in first gear. With the cooler air the car is unreal.

I have 3 setting 7.5 psi , 9psi, 12psi w/meth.

On the first setting my car blows the tires without any issues 3rd setting is even more stupid

I want to congradulate APS(AND LAPD) on building a monster setup. the car is really and truly an EXOTIC PERFORMING MACHINE!!

Car feels and Drives like it came from the factory until you get on it and the all hell breaks loose.

Sounds like a nice problem to have, well done to the guys at LAPD and congrats on your twin turbo system install..............what plans do you have for additional traction?

Peter,

there is no plans for traction , unless you have some idea

Im running the best traction tires for my street setup and that cant even hold the power down..

I am getting used to modulating the power with the gas pedal..80% then all out in each gear seems to work a little better.

there is a great chance i will be at LVS (las vegas speedway tomorrow)

i will have issues as the tires will not hook that well and i DONT want to break anything with a HARD launch.. im really intrested in the MPH ..that will tell the story

I hope traction permitted i can get 135+ in the vegas altitude and DA , IAT wil be up there for sure...

Sam, LB has a point here. If I were you I would really invest in a wideband so you can always monitor your air/fuel, especially since your fuel system isn't upgraded. It only takes one bad run to lean out and kaboom! It's worth the $400! Give me a call if you have any questions, you should still have my number.

The high octane will help the fuel to burn slower, so it will have less chance of blowing up. Its safe to say that you are beter running rich on a hot day then lean on a cold one.

Ok, So i will load on the torco

My 2 bar tune was set to run "rich" from my tuner. that was something is was "very" strict about.

There are a number of different brand of boost controllers that allow the tuner to map the boost pressure vs gear ratio..............that's what I would recommend in order to achieve maximum traction in every gear.
