Now that more C5 APS twin turbos are amongst us,I was wondering if anyone has had any issues with heat smoke coming from the passenger side under the battery area,my twin turbo was one of the first to hit the street here in southern cal.I noticed that there was a burning oil smell coming from uderneath the battery area,I did notice oil on the threads where all the oil lines connect to the brass manifold so I presumed that maybe oil might be dripping on the turbos,so I had this corrected,well now when I drive the car I am seeing the same thing as before.If I drive the car for 100 miles and open the hood; I notice a light heat smoke coming from under the battery area and it only last for about 3 minutes and goes away;I have checked everywhere for any leaks and have found none.I would describe this heat smoke as having a burning smell to it.Any help would be appreciated.

Hey Donnig, how's it going? You say there's a burning smell, I assume you mean an oil burning smell? i dn't have this issue, or atleast, not yet, but I don't have many miles at all on my sytem at this point. Is it possible that one of the fittings on the turbo is leaking just a touch and burning off when you shut the car down? I wish I had a better idea for you but I don't. How many miles on the kit?

Steam clean it and around the area of conern and put some dye in the oil and use a black light to find the exact leak. Its gonna be a fitting either on that manifold next to the pass head or a fitting on the turbo (obviously )

Dan;
The car has about 600 miles on this setup,like I was saying it's a light smoke that goes away right away as soon as the car sits for a minute or two,there are no oil leaks anywhere,I have looked everywhere.
I was thinking maybe there is something that may be lying to close to the heated pipes or something like that,other than that the car really performs well and i'm very happy with it.
