I am using a BAP on my LS1 with a Vortech supercharger for a couple months......maybe 500 miles. After I installed it, I had an episode where it blew the fuse (20 amp). After I replaced the fuse I hadn't had another problem until yesterda. I drove the car around for about 1-1/2 hr.....parked it. It sat for about 8 hrs. in a garage. The car wouldn't start....the fuel pressure gauge read zero, so I suspected a fuse again. The fuse was o.k.....checked all connections......o.k., went to my office to scratch my head.....came back and the fuel pressure gauge was now reading 62lbs......normal reading. Jacked the car up, checked all connections at the fuel pump.....no suspects. Any ideas? I don't want to get stranded so I'm thinking that maybe I shouild just replace the BAP.

Quick question for you, I'm having a similiar problem and I use a BAP. I was suspecting a Relay tha I'm using, do you have a relay in line with yours? Give me a call if you like at 203 509 0154. Thanks, Dan
I do have the relay in line with the BAP, however, I don't suspect that to be the problem. It seems to be working. The internal circuit breaker makes some sense.....possibly a component that is heating up too much intermittently, and causing the circuit breaker to trip. I guess I will have to replace it, or live in fear of getting stranded......and those car haulers don't work cheap.
After burning & melting a few fuses (I think the BAP internal breaker was fluttering causing heat), rewiring a maxi fuse into the circuit, my BAP went out during last years Hot Rod Magazine Drag Week (no power to the pump) thinking my pump was bad I replaced my pump (on the side of the road) to no avail. Dan Bills the owner of FLP coached me on the phone through bypassing the BAP, running my pump off my relay, adjusting my fuel curves to compansate, and I ran 4 days of 10 hour per day driving and running 9.80's with no problems. At stoplights I just had to make sure my charging voltage did not drop below 12.25 for more than 3 min. or my Magna Fuel Pump would become TOAST (2 others before had and Magna Fuel alerted me to the voltage requirement). I wired my new BAP with "bypass connectors" so I can do a quick test if it goes south on me again. I run about 14 to 15 volts to my pump continually from my KB BAP so I figure its' good for about 2 to 3 years max.
