Default Help Understanding PCV System

I am installing a TT kit and I need a PCV system.

I do not understand how the PCV works (what little I do know is from a search which actually confused me more )

I have a Z06 so it pulls the vent from the valley. I also have a catch can with two inlets and a valve cover breather.

Can someone help me understand what I need to do in order to protect my motor.

Thanks for the help in advance

Here's a setup that works well:
Install an oil filler breather from East Coast Supercharging. Why theirs? It doesn't make a mess like some other breathers.
Remove the crankcase air supply hose coming from the throttle body and cap the hose barb fittings that it was attached to at both ends.
Install a non-vented catchcan in the PCV line going to the intake manifold. Maybe you can cap the one you have and still use it.
I don't know what year you have, but if you have the PCV valve that rattles when you shake it lengthwise, it will act as a check valve to keep air from blowing backwards from the intake into the crankcase under boost, and you shouldn't need a separate valve.

Here is the way we set up my partners Z06.

1. AMW catch can
2. mcmaster check valve
3. stock pcv inline
4. moroso catch cans in the fenders
5. metal oil cap
6. Mustang PCV screen in the cap
7. -12 AN line off the passanger side
8. -8 AN off the drivers side

And a pic!

I am very interested in this PCV setup. This is the nicest setup I have seen so far Do you have any more pics showing where the lines are going?

I will get you guys some more pics next week. The reason for the different size is there is no oil cap on the drivers side on the katech valve covers. So we had to use the smaller AN line. Hope that makes more since. We pulled the plugs and they were perfect and inspected the intake and nothing Problem solved! This car is making close to 900 rwhp
