How much should i be paying for a bottom end rebuild or should i do more ? i would like to forge the bottom end because im running a P1sc and would like to boost it some more... Also like to put on my 317 heads at that time and also a lingenfelter cam .. anything eles that might need done at this time ? replace or upgrade ? .. thanks jay

You are better off having a professional shop build you a stout bottom end for F/I and then selling your stock shorblock as this is more cost effective. You can get a great f/i 346 cid shortblock built utilizing excellent forged internals build for around $3,500.00 by several reputable LS series engine builders, and then you can offset this cost by selling stock shortblock.
That is the best way to go which will require the least amount of downtime, b/c you get your forged shortblock built while you continue to drive you car, and when its already to drop in your ready to swap out motors and then sell the stocker!
