Initial Impression After Upgrade
Now: Intercooled 7psi, 90mm TB, 100mm LPE MAF, New LS6 heads w/lightweight valves, Comp 918s, titanium retainers, TR pushrods, Caddy lifters, yella terras, Katech ported oil pump & timing chain, custom Patrick G blower cam, 218/226 on a 116 LSA.
Initial Impressions: Holy S#!*... I'm not kidding. It sounds very strong, idle is great, everything is looking good. Fuel trims are negative... almost a bit too much. Well I gave it like a little more than half throttle today and when it started to make boost it just about scared the s#^t right out of me.
The damn thing lurches forward like frog when its given throttle quickly in first and second.
I mean I have been driving my d/d 4 banger for a while... but this is nothing like my "old" car..... it is wicked.... I love it. I haven't even put on my 100mm MAF yet as I'm piecing together an intake for it. I'm still running with my 78mm MAF, screened, and blackwing. I'm gonna be scared to floor it now..... it barely started making boost and it set my *** back... I just hope it dynos healthy for my combo.
I know there are a lot guys making WAY more power than me, but it's like night & day between my old setup and now.
I'd really like to thank Thunder Racing and Patrick G for parts and great customer service. SDPC also had great customer service when a set of my lifters came damaged/missing.
I just need to work out a few little things so I can drive this sucker up to Andy's on the 30th

Mike - I haven't put on the LPE MAF yet... no one really makes a 4" intake... especially for a C5... so I'm making a custom one. I'm still running the 78mm MAF, screened with the stock Maggie air bridge.

I'd say that intercooler is doing a damn good job though. It freakin hot here today, and my IATs were in the 120s while in boost... I think maybe it needs more fuel and not necessarily less timing.
I might hit up the guys at Orange County Corvette to do a full dyno tune just cuz I'd probably burn up countless tanks of gas playing with it.... not to mention I hate doing interior work (any tab that can break... will...and I know it) and I need my gauges installed...
