Default Lowering Boost

How can I change the boost "curve" on my Procharger...I would like for it to come on a little harder lower...I'm not into winding it to 6K to get it to turn hard....

You can run a smaller pulley and a restrictor plate. Call Doug or Chris at ECS...They will get you what you need.

How much are we going to change the RPM range where boost starts coming on by reducing the pully and adding the plate? Any recommedation on pulley size...I'd rather have power in lower to mid range then upper.

Last question - what happens when you raise RPM beyond the effective boost range (if I make it come on lower), does the blow off work, do you loose power, or what?

Also you could look at swapping out for a D1 which if I recall has a better boost ramp rate due to the impeller angles.

I'm going to just spin mine (P1) up w/ a restrictor plate setup from ECS.

Each change in pulley size will modify your boost curve by about 300-450 rpm. If you choose not to rev the engine to the limiter then there may be no need for a restrictor at all.

In my experience the P1SC is stronger on the bottom end, the D1SC having a more agressive airflow curve when it gets rolling. It really depends on the exact model.
