Default BOV question

Is anyone out there running a BOV on the Vortech S-Trim kit? If so how did you do it?

After talking to some people local it looks like you have to relocate the MAF to make it a push through system and change the tune.

I'm running an HKS BOV SSQ. All you need to do is weld on a flange after the supercharger outlet either before the intercooler or after it and attach the BOV to the flange with a supplied c-clip. Hook up your vaccum line and thats it. Rev and enjoy. Also, you can go on e-bay and look for aluminum piping with the flange already welded on in a variety of sized piping.

In Andy's kit the MAF is relocated near the throtle body making it a push through system. I have the Vortech kit from Vortech the system is a draw through.

Draw through setups are bad. The BOV will release METERED air when it opens. The car still thinks there is all the air it read from the MAF so it will add the corresponding fuel. The car will be extremely rich when the car goes from boost to no boost. Running a car rich will wash down the cylinder walls with fuel, removing the thin layer of oil, and will cause the rings to wear out prematurely.

You always want the BOV before the MAF.

Thanks for the input folks it looks like the only way to get BOV in this system is to relocate the MAF,

I don't disagree. I also have the Vortech kit and was wondering if it can be modified.
