Default alky pump

I mounted my alky pump with the pump on top,, mostly due to the lenght of line I was given....

i can see that the pump down would be prefered if any leakage got into electric motor,, but other than that, is there any advantages..

should I turn it over or leave it along, I have had no problems

if your supply line is braided s/s, you have the older kit, the earlier lines were slightly shorter

the past 6 I've seen use the longer supply lines

We decided to flip it upside down just in case of a leaking situation, that way the pump does not get corroded. Mine is positioned the original way and I have no intentions of changing it.
We had a few guys over tighten the fitting into the pump and crack the housing, it ended up ruining the pump also. We warrantied the few that did that without a hesitation, but when absorbing someone else's mistake we figured it would lesson our blow if we just mounted the pumps like that from then on. It would of been much cheaper to just replace the cap, which is what we would be able to do now.

Hey Doug,
If I have a pump with the date of 2/06 on it, is it the updated version or the original version?

Jeff, if both line for the pump, in and out are stainless, it's the old version, the new version has a black mesh coated line for the inlet. It's a little bit longer
