changing the clutch will fix the problem. Check out the Tex OZ700.

When you get on it, is the clutch slipping? Or is it just the pedal travel? If its just the pedal, then it sounds like a hydraulic issue.

How is the engage/dis-engage on the clutch?

Since the car is driveable...kinda, when was the last time clutch fluids were bled or freshened up? If the fluid is black or it's been a while, get the old fluid out (at the top if you don't have a remote bleeder) and get good fluid in there. Do that a few times after driving and eventually it'll stay clean.

I dropped my 02 Z06 off today for the same problem? When I get on it and go to shift the pedal stays down. I have to lift the pedal up with my foot. No slipage. I think its a hydraulic issue (slave cylinder)? I had no leeks in the line. I'm changing the fluid and while I'm at it also changing brake and rear diff fluids as well. Good luck!

We have had cases like this where changing out the fluid helps out, but more than likely it is either a master cylinder or slave cylinder problem. What to do? Start with the easy choices first and see if it helps. Bob
